FACULTY COORDINATOR
Dr. M.S. Priyadarshini is an Organizational and Health Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in academia. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Madras and a PG Certificate in Academic Practices from Lancaster University, UK. Dr. Priyadarshini's career spans across different countries, having worked as a Programme Leader at Sunway University in Malaysia and currently serving as a faculty member at Christ University in Bangalore, India. Her areas of expertise include job motivation, stress management, work-life balance, cross-cultural studies, and emotional intelligence. She has conducted numerous training programs for students and professionals and has written articles on youth development. Dr. Priyadarshini has received research grants from institutions like Sunway University and the Asian Office of Aerospace Research and Development (AOARD) for her work on topics like the influence of parenting styles on late adolescents' self and emotional development and the origin of trust within organizations. Additionally, she has been involved in media engagements, including interviews on TV channels like Kalaigner TV and Jaya TV, and has given a TEDx Talk on stress management.
PRESIDENT
Anumehaa Ghosh, President of PsychFlicks and an undergraduate student of Psychology and English at Christ University, is passionate about the intersection of storytelling, performance, and the human mind. With experience in theatre, films, music, and dance, she brings artistic sensitivity and psychological curiosity to film analysis. Off stage, she enjoys reading biographies, updating her never-ending to-be-watched films/dramas list, listening to music, exploring different cuisines, and reenacting scenes from her favourite films, which fuel her creative and intellectual engagement.
SECRETARY
Bhumika Agarwal, a student of Psychology and Economics. Her interests lie at the intersection of movies (media) and psychology, finding it fascinating how they reflect and shape human behaviour in the real world and gleefully finds herself analysing every movie and show to draw parallels. When binging, she’s at two extremes, either rushing through the series in two days or never returning to it. Driven by curiosity, she finds herself diving into new pursuits, be it learning the violin, sketching or collecting books faster than she reads them.
TREASURER
Himakar Kabta is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Psychology and Economics. A true workaholic, you’ll always find him engaged in one task or another. In his free time, he dabbles in embroidery and origami with music always in the background. With an artistic eye and a love for storytelling, he enjoys analyzing films as a passion.
Vanshika Jaiswal - A diligent student of Communication, Media & Psychology, is also someone with a keen eye for detail and a mind wired for curiosity. Fascinated by the layered dialogue between cinema and the human psyche, she believes that every film is more than what it seems—each frame a mirror, each narrative a maze. In the media space, she uses storytelling as both a creative tool and a lens for analysis.
Elisha Pamel is a passionate student, studying Psychology and English Literature. Creative by nature, He likes to draw and paint in his free time. Music and movies are his favorite forms of relaxation, offering both inspiration and comfort. He enjoys exploring human emotions through art and stories.
Alisha Sureshkumar- As a Psychology student, it's no surprise that she is drawn to psychological thrillers. Beyond that, she also enjoys weight training and expressing her creativity through small crafts, both of which help bring balance to her life outside of academics.
Nayasa Ratra- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Economics from Christ University, she has a keen interest in unpredictable thrillers that keep the mind racing till the very end. She is always chasing clues between the lines, focusing on subtle details and psychological concepts - whether in books or in movies.
Magdel Mary- As a former student of theatre and currently pursuing her final year in psychology, she enjoys films and television shows that engage audiences and offer insight into human behavior. These stories allow her to observe and reflect on a range of emotions- both in the characters and within herself, deepening her understanding of the connection between performance and psychology.
Japjot Singh Malhotra is a Clinical Psychology student by day and a theatre-cinema enthusiast by heart (and probably also by late night). Viewing the world through a "slice of life" lens, he believes every moment deserves either a monologue or a meme. Standing tall at 6’2”, he’s officially retired from laughing at tall jokes and Santa-Banta WhatsApp forwards, so proceed with caution! Whether he’s writing, performing, or catching up on some very serious sleep requirements, Japjot lives life with a smile and a script in mind.
Anjana is a passionate student of Psychology and English, driven by curiosity about the human mind and its many narratives. She is an avid reader who finds joy in exploring ideas through books, films, and culture. She brings creativity and critical insight to every project she undertakes. She is also a dedicated dancer, expressing what words alone often cannot.
G Sai Prashanth is a filmmaker, a full-time film enthusiast, and a part-time MSc Psychology HRDM student who never really stops talking about films. Be it storytelling, cinematography, or that one obscure frame from every Martin Scorsese film, he talks about it all. Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable. If you are up for deep and passionate conversations about movies, reach Prashanth, but be warned, once you start, there is no turning back.
Ayesha Tramboo is a Psychology student who watches movies with both feeling and insight. She can cry over Tune in for Love and still spot how films quietly reinforce caste, gender, and political narratives. To her, cinema is never just an escape. It is a mirror of who we are and a blueprint for what we could become. She is drawn to films that move you and make you think.
Keerti Manjit- An undergraduate student of journalism, digital media and literature, Keerti is eternally fascinated by all things cinema. They enjoy (over)analysing films and discussing thoughts on everything under the sun. An enthusiastic reader and quizzer, they're always ready to take on challenging visuals and themes, the stranger the merrier.
Nishtha Dayal is a core member of PsychFlicks, a film-based initiative under the Media Psych Lab that explores the intersection of psychology and cinema. With a strong interest in media psychology and visual storytelling, Nishtha contributes to curating thought-provoking film discussions and helping bridge academic concepts with pop culture narratives.
Niranjana PR is a second year student of Psychology and English, with a flare for writing poetry and stories. Her hobbies include reading books, listening to music, and of course writing poetry. She has a keen interest in watching Asian Dramas (especially Thai) and movies in any language as long as the plot is engaging. She likes to write poems from an unconventional point of view, and seeing things differently. She loves to explore new places and things, and hopes to travel the world someday.
Ruhaani Chahal is a psychology and economics undergraduate student with a keen interest in getting emotionally invested in fictional characters. Although socially awkward, when it comes to ranting about character arcs and plots, she’s all in. With a knack for writing and video editing, she helps bring a creative touch to Psychflicks’ media team.
Niva Doshi, a Psychology and Economics student at Christ University, finds magic in the way nature and cinema combine the human mind. Whether she’s painting a quiet thought, dancing to an untold story, or swimming through ideas, her passions reflect a mind that sees art in emotion and emotion in everything around her. With the interest in her leadership skills she will help manage the Psychflicks team .
Shriya is a psychology and economics major with a passion for binge-watching films and uncovering underrated perspectives in stories, music, and real life. She enjoys delving into complex narratives and diverse viewpoints. As a travel enthusiast, she loves exploring new places and cultures.
Bhoomika Arun is a student at CHRIST University (’26), studying Media and Psychology. She’s interested in people, pop culture, and the quiet chaos of everyday life—often turning these into ideas, stories, or projects that reflect the world around her.
Mokshith is an undergraduate student at Christ University, pursuing 2nd Year Economics and Sociology. He's interested in movies that involve the intricacies of the human mind and also analyzes the movies using economic theories intertwined with psychology, which helps him see things that are often overlooked by others.
Diya is a 3rd year BA student majoring in Psychology and English at Christ University. She is deeply interested in stories—whether they unfold through books, films, series, or the everyday drama of life. With a keen eye for detail, she enjoys exploring every element of a film, from its narrative and casting to its cinematography. Diya is particularly fascinated by how movies and series intersect with psychology, sociology, and culture, and she tries to explore it even more.
Swathi is a 2nd year Psychology and Literature student with a curious mind that gravitates toward the most unexpected things. With an eye for detail, she enjoys diving deep into every aspect of a film—often spotting Easter eggs or behind-the-scenes facts on her own, long before hearing about them elsewhere. She loves open, meaningful conversations and finds happiness in the little things that make each day unique.She loves vibing with people and forming genuine connections. Exploring new ideas, places, and perspectives is something she finds truly exciting.
Soumi is a student of Psychology and English at Christ who treats Canva like her second brain and creativity like her first love. She’s into stories that have layers, visuals that linger, and those blink-and-you-miss-it character moments that carry the real weight. Every story she encounters ends up dissected sooner or later, she often finds herself diving into theories and analyses across platforms just for the thrill of it. Rom-coms are her everyday comfort, but she’s never one to shy away from a gritty thriller or mind-bending mystery when she’s craving that psychological rush.
