DR. RITUPARNA CHAKRABORTY 

Dr. Rituparna Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). She is a teacher and avid researcher in the fields of Media psychology, Social psychology and Developmental Psychology. She has multiple publications in recognized journals, encyclopaedia and books. Her research interests lie in areas of Media influence and discourse, Identity and subjectivity, Gender and body politics, Marginalization and Systemic oppression etc. She is a long-time member of the National Academy of Psychology (NAOP), the Society for Teaching Psychology (STP) and the American Psychology Association (APA).



DR. M.S. PRIYADARSHINI

Dr. M.S. Priyadarshini is an Organizational and Health Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in academia. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Madras and a PG Certificate in Academic Practices from Lancaster University, UK. Dr. Priyadarshini's career spans across different countries, having worked as a Programme Leader at Sunway University in Malaysia and currently serving as a faculty member at Christ University in Bangalore, India. Her areas of expertise include job motivation, stress management, work-life balance, cross-cultural studies, and emotional intelligence. She has conducted numerous training programs for students and professionals and has written articles on youth development. Dr. Priyadarshini has received research grants from institutions like Sunway University and the Asian Office of Aerospace Research and Development (AOARD) for her work on topics like the influence of parenting styles on late adolescents' self and emotional development and the origin of trust within organizations. Additionally, she has been involved in media engagements, including interviews on TV channels like Kalaigner TV and Jaya TV, and has given a TEDx Talk on stress management. 



DR. SAHARBAN N.V.

Dr. Shaharban N.V. is an assistant professor at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, India, specialising in Applied Psychology. Her major research focus is on cognition, and has published research articles on language and cognition. She is keen on the biological basis of human behaviour, the mental health implications of gender and reproductive-related issues, etc.  She is also part of research studies investigating media workers’ mental health issues. Dr. Shaharban holds a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from Pondicherry University, India.

DR MADHAVI RANGASWAMY 

Dr. Madhavi Rangaswamy is a Professor at the Department of Psychology, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). She got her PhD from NIMHANS, Bangalore. She completed her postdoctoral training at Henri Begleiter Neurodynamics Laboratory and she served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, USA. She contributed to research in electrophysiology and genetic correlates of alcoholism (COGA project) and has over 40 publications. Currently Dr. Rangaswamy teaches two courses in Cognitive Psychology and one elective in Cognitive Electrophysiology for the PG Psychology program at  CHRIST (Deemed to be University). Her research interests lie in the area of cognitive and behavioural neuroscience, and human environment interactions.

GRACE MARIA JOCHAN 

Grace Maria Jochan is a PhD scholar at the Department of Psychology at Christ University, and also works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology and Counselling at St Joseph’s University, Bangalore. Her area of interests includes understanding of digital space, policing, qualitative research and media psychology. She has multiple publications in recognized journals. She is certified as a forensic psychologist by the LNJN National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

Romita Handa is currently a third-year undergraduate student pursuing Journalism, Psychology and English.  Her zest to unravel the many layers of learning while contributing to the world she inhabits has always been her guiding force. Aiming to become a psychologist, her belief in the wide application of the field continues to fascinate her. 

Parinita Shetty is a final year student of Theatre, Psychology and English. Having honed her skills in various areas, she believes that an intersection of Psychology with Theatre will lead to multi-faceted and rich insights that can transcend any differences.
